The ME1600 series dielectric pigtails & hogtails are intended to isolate metallic piping from sources of electrical current and to help prevent galvanic corrosion when used on underground containers. The dielectric pigtail would typically be installed at the ASME tank directly upstream of the first stage regulator prior to underground piping there by isolating the underground metallic piping from electrical current.
