The ME910P Series Pilot Operated Relief Valve is designed for bulk storage containers with 4” flanged openings. It can also be adapted to fit a 3” flanged opening with an optional adaptor. The ME910P also allows operators to streamline the maintenance process, with faster pilot changeouts, lower labor costs, and less risk compared to the Quadport valves. A Pilot Operated Relief utilizes 2 pilot valves, one being the active one, and the other being dormant. Like the Quadport, the active pilot must be changed every 10 years. To do this, the technician only needs to turn a switch, unbolt the pilot bolts with a small wrench, and put on a new pilot. There are no major moving parts like on the Quadports, and the technician doesn’t have to disassemble any valve stacks, as there is only one stack which is affixed to the main discharge port of the valve, which does not move. Because of this, only 1 technician is needed, it is a much faster process, and there is less risk of having to drain down the tank.
