The Heat Pump Helper™ Package by Bindus Manufacturing contains everything needed to create a dual-fuel hydronic heating system, except for your choice of plumbing tube, fittings, and connecting wire.  Step-by-Step instructions for professional installers ensure each component of the Heat Pump Helper™ (HPH) is configured perfectly for every home.

All components of the kit are field-serviceable without specialized equipment.

Purchased Separately:

• AQUECOIL® Hydronic Heating Unit by Bindus Manufacturing
• Tankless Water Heater or Boiler capable of 4+ gpm of 140°F to 180°F water
• HVAC Air Handler (Heat Pump or Straight Cool)
• Copper Tube or PEX with Fittings

The AQUECOIL™ Hydronic Heating Unit is designed to match up with your chosen brand and model of Air Handling Equipment. There are AQUECOIL™ models to fit every major manufacturer’s equipment.

AQUECOIL™ products work with any appropriately sized hot water source including:

• Tank-type gas, oil or electric water heaters
• Tankless gas or electric water heaters
• Geothermal heat pump water heaters
• Solar water heaters
• Gas, oil, biofuel or electric boilers

How does it work?

Water from your hot water source is circulated through the AQUECOIL™ Unit while the central air system blows air through it. The air’s temperature is raised by 30° to 60°F while the water’s temperature is lowered about 15° to 30°F. The warmed air is delivered to your home and the water is returned to the source to be reheated. Your water bill remains completely unaffected and you still have plenty of hot water for your shower!
