Angle valves are used to regulate or control the flow of liquid propane in piping schemes where space is at a premium and the valve can also serve as an elbow. They are widely used on bulk plants, storage tanks, and trucks.

The ME813, ME819, & ME823 series valves feature Excela-Flange 4-bolt inlet/outlet design that can be easily adapted to both NPT thread or socket weld type A companion flanges (ME840 & ME841 Series). This system allows installers the ability to eliminate unnecessary connections as well as leak points by integrating a 4-bolt flange union at the valve inlet/outlet connections.

This valve model incorporates a pilot orifice feature to facilitate pressure equalization in sections of system piping that have bidirectional flow or high differential pressures. This prevents backpressure build-up which greatly reduces the opening torque required and prevents premature wear of the valve seat.

These valve models incorporate an integrated backcheck feature to allow trapped downstream pressure to automatically bypass to the upstream side of the valve. These valves are designed for systems with flow in one direction, creating a loop system that prevents the product from relieving to the atmosphere, making for a lower emission environmentally friendly option.
